| Description: | Horizon?s 2008 Summer Internship Program will provide rising juniors and seniors with an opportunity for a realistic perspective into the role of a marketing services corporation. The internship will focus on brand orientation, client service and ROI. The internship will run from June 2nd to August 8th.Intern Responsibilities (will vary based on department):- Support your teams on day-to-day details of print, outdoor media executions and national and local buys i.e. space reservations and insertion orders; issue periodic spending summaries; facilitate in ordering, maintaining and billing of media buys
- Maintain and update documentation of all media team?s campaign information (e.g., vendor contacts, media kits, presentations, etc.)
- Promote positive working relationships interdepartmentally and with the media sales rep community i.e.: Contact sales representatives for media kits, rates, etc. Return calls from sales reps looking for information. Assist in setting up meetings with sales reps
- Partner with representatives from the Brand Insights Group, the Channel Insights Group and the Brand Results Group on a marketing based project on a current or potential Horizon client.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and support appropriate training initiatives

| Requirements: | Candidates for Horizon?s 2008 internship must be entering their Junior and Senior year, with at least a 3.0 GPA, preferably having a course of study in media, advertising, communications, marketing and business. Excellent math skills and experience in Excel are a must. Previous internships in media, marketing or extracurricular activities, including membership to professional societies, are a plus. Candidates should be organized, motivated, detail oriented, and able to multi-task. |
