| Description: | SpeakOut TV discusses gay, lesbian, Bisexual & transgender issues, and other sexuality and gender concerns. The show is taped live on BNN Channel 9 and is hosted by members of SpeakOut, a Boston-based GLBT speakers' bureau since 1972. Responsiblities include: -Promote SpeakOut TV using as many GLBT and mainstream creative PR vehicles as possible i.e. Partnership with other GLBT and Ally organizations (PFLAG,BAGLY,GLAD,GLSEN), GLBT Publications, Press Release, Promotions, College GLBT organizations, SpeakOut Parent Organization, Other BNN shows spots etc -Attract and book SOTV guests weekly as far out in the future as possible. Topics can run the complete gamut of issues that effect the GLBT community. Past 2006 Examples attached -Prep Guests on all SpeakOut TV show information (What to wear, What to bring, Studio Location, How to dress - http://www.bnntv.org/pages/howtolookgood.html, Studio Location - http://www.bnntv.org/pages/direction.html). -Prep Hosts on topic and guest information using hosting template -Prospect and attract other GLBT and ally Hosts -Set ? up Monthly meeting agenda -Administer Monthly meeting notes and report meeting out to hosts including Show upcoming and current and past show topics, Topic Brainstorming, Studio improvements etc -Maintain Show Topic Logs to maintain current issues are effecting the GLBT community and continually communicate show -Liaison between Hosts and BNN to communicate any Studio programming issues -Every Tuesday night at 8:30 Answer calls in studio shows during Live Show -Work with hosts and guests to prepare show visuals; Power Point is best -Option to Host one monthly show -Prospect and attract Show Sponsors for Quarterly or Yearly sponsorships partnerships -Promote current SpeakOut TV Sponsors |
