Xhang Creative: Internet Radio/Content Internship

Employer Information:

Location: Portland, Oregon
Website: www.xhangcreative.com
Email: zanger@xhangcreative.com
About: Xhang Creative officially began in 2000. What started as a bit of a lark became the agency we are today. Our primary focus is on the audio medium, with a real passion for radio. We especially love the idea of expanding content anywhere and everywhere we can: over-the-air, online and in person. Xhang Creative loves to use audio and radio as the foundation for overall strategies and campaigns. That’s why we’re involved with other, more traditional and non-traditional forms of communication. Xhang Creative is also highly focused on the digital space and is developing substantial efforts to continue to create new opportunities for listeners, end-users and brands. The company recently launched Small Plate Radio (www.smallplateradio.com), a live internet radio/podcasting business unit dedicated to telling interesting brand and other stories using the combined power of radio and digital. Xhang Creative’s founder (and President/CEO, though he hates calling himself that) is Doug Zanger. Doug started out as a freelance writer for radio stations in Portland, Oregon. His radio career began as a weekend overnight DJ at a station in Portland. From there, he ran the gamut at Rose City Radio as promotions coordinator, morning show producer and production/creative director. In 2004, Doug became the creative director at Entercom in Portland where he spent three years before making Xhang Creative his cause d’etre.
