About: American Friends of ALYN supports Israel's premiere rehabilitation center for physically challenged and disabled children. This unique comprehensive rehab center offers absolutely everything needed for rehab under one roof. The patients range in age from birth to young adulthood and are disabled as a result of birth defects, neuromuscular diseases, car accidents, cancer surgeries and acts of terrorism. Our job here in the US is to raise awareness and desparately needed funds for ALYN in Jerusalem.

Description: Looking for someone who knows their way around Twitter, Facebook, Change.org and all the other amazing online opportunities available today. We run an international charity bike ride in Israel every fall for adults and also fundraising programs here in the US for teens. We want to create on online community of supporters for both of these events as well as our annual participation in the Salute to Israel Day Parade. Seeking someone who can get ALYN online in every possible way and make us the leader in this new way of reaching people of all ages.
Requirements: College Junior or Senior Excellent writing skills Superior computer skills This position is a response to the ever changing world of communicating and Web 2.0 We know that the future of both cause-related marketing, social networking and philanthropy are web based and we want to be in the forefront of this movement. This internship could grow into a permanent, paid position if we get the results we think are possible. If you are social, have a great personality, care about helping disabled kids, are energetic and want to make a contribution to this organization while learning all about how a nonprofit is run then I am interested in meeting you. A desire to work in the nonprofit world and a working knowledge of the Jewish community is a huge plus. Please have some passion for our mission!
