- Environment: It's a very professional working environment - I was given my own desk, computer, phone line, and voicemail. Almost everything related to the Hatch Awards went through me. Again, since it's a small place, I worked closely with pretty much everyone at The Ad Club.
- Interview: My supervisor knew a professor of mine, and forwarded information about the open position to him. He then forwarded it to a few people, and I wrote to the supervisor expressing interest. There was only one interview, and after a few weeks I got a call saying I had been accepted. I'm not sure how many other people applied.
- Advice: Be detail-oriented to the point of being anal. There are 1100 entries for the Hatch Awards, Boston's biggest advertising awards show - each one of them needs to be carefully filed, checked, re-checked, and put through the full process of judging, printing the Hatch book, and preparing the Hatch show. Also, be good with deadlines, pressure and all the rest of it. This isn't a standard coffee/copies internship - you're given tremendous responsibility, so you have to be ready to accept it.
- Offer: Yes.
- Full Review: This internship is tremendously hard work - it's a very small place, so you're effectively at the level of any employee. You're given a lot of responsibility, and what's great is that you work toward a final goal - The Hatch Award show.

- Full Review: I volunteered at the Hatch Awards show preliminary judging event hosted by the AdClub and Partners and Simon. It was a great way to get your foot in the door and feel what its like to work with people in the advertising industry. Everyone there was a blast to work with and they gave me a lot of responsibility. It was really neat seeing all the ads nominated for the Hatch Awards and hearing the judges remarks. I'd definatley recommend this to anyone who is interested in Advertising.

- Full Review: I had an excellent time working with the staff at the Ad Club. I was trusted with important pieces of business and I was able to really get to know the people with whom I worked. I was also able to network like crazy because the Ad Club is THE trade organization in New England for communications. I was even able to make a contact with someone that I am now interning for at another company. There are a lot of opportunities available when interning with this company as long as you know how to go about using the experiences.
